Soda Soda Soda

August 21st, 2008 by admin

I am addicted to soda pop. I can’t eat pizza or burgers unless i have a tall glass of cold soda to wash it down. Some of my friends have recommended to me that i try drinking iced tea instead. It doesn’t work for me. I need the carbonation. I like to burp after a good junk food meal.

Soda pop is really bad for you. It’s filled with sugar. It’s bad for a lot of reasons. Cola, for example get you all wired. Diet soda is still bad cause sweeteners are not that healthy either.

I need to find a way to slowly limit the amount of soda that i put into my body. I need to limit the junk food that i put in my mouth. It’s a hard addiction but i feel confident that i can get off soda. If you guys know of any good ways to kick the soda habit, please let me know. Thanks.

All about food

August 14th, 2008 by admin

Shelter and food are two of the basic necessities for life. This day and age, food has become more and more important. We don’t face starvation in the modern cities but we face an over abundance of food. We have so much food that most of us face issues with weight. We are getting fatter and lazier every day. We don’t need to move our bodies anymore and we eat way too much.

When i was younger, i was very active with sports. I played a lot of basketball and rode my bike everywhere. Now, i don’t ever touch my basketball nor do i ride my bike. I don’t even walk that much either. I just sit in front of the computer screen getting fatter and lazier by the min.

I know that i have to work out more, but before i work on that, i have to watch what i eat. I have to focus on not eating after 7pm. I have to drink a lot of water and eat a lot of veggies. I should try to avoid processed foods as well. It’s all about the food and you should really think about the type of food you put in your mouth.

Japanese restaurants

August 4th, 2008 by admin

Why are Japanese restaurants so expensive. I love Japanese food. I like that they are light and healthy. I love the fact that Japanese food isn’t too spicy or bland. I love drinking sake with the meal and i love the cool factor. But, i hate the outrageous prices that they charge. I know that seafood is expensive. Raw fish cost a lot of money. But, you don’t really get large portions at Japanese restaurants. Why are they charging so much for two pieces of raw tuna? I can understand that sushi chefs need to be skilled, but is it that much harder then cooking up a steak? I think it’s a branding issue. For some reason, Japanese food has become high class. It’s similar to the organic food craze. It’s hip to over pay for not that much food.

I hate hype. I think people are easily brain washed. People need things dictated to them. Our generation is obcessed with consuming and wasting money. If a Japanese restaurant opened up and offered reasonable prices, it would go out of business. Why? Because people will think that it’s of low quality. Even if the quality of the tuna was better at the cheaper restaurant, people would stay away cause the price is low. It’s the same thing with brand name pricing. Things that are too expensive tend to sell better then things that are reasonably priced.

Wii diet and whole foods

July 25th, 2008 by admin

I just went grocery shopping. Right next to my condo, i have a wholefoods market. I like the stuff they have there but certain things are way to expensive. I think the whole organic thing is way overblown. I think the market chain is successful because of marketing. It’s not really the food but the lifestyle that they are selling. People who view themselves as healthy and cool shop there. Honestly, if a dominics was next to my condo, i’d go there instead. I’d save like 20 percent.

I spend around 60 dollars at whole foods. I didn’t even buy that much. I just bought some fruit and some muffins. I think eating right is the key, but don’t believe all the hype that is associated with the organic movement.

There are cheaper alternatives with eating right. I say go to costco! I love costco.
