I was thinking about the impact of mothers on their children. I’m not just talking about biological mothers either. I’m talking about step mothers and mothers in law. I had an experience where i saw my friend treating his mother in law better then his biological mother. I think the idea behind this makes logical sense. You can treat people you’re close to worse then people you don’t know that well. We all try to impress people that don’t know us yet. We need to put up a front because we seem better then we are to them. We don’t want to disappoint the new member of the family. It’s like when you’re dating someone. Early on in the relationship, you show more respect and manners. After you get comfortable and learn a lot about each other, the respect and common courtesy goes out the window.

I say you should treat your mothers like you treat your mother in law.
